The LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY
Even before attending Sonoma State, I have always had a connection to the LGBTQIA+ Community. Coming out as Bisexual back in high school was a huge event for me, and it allowed me to connect to my community in a whole different way. Down below are various texts that discuss many definitions, hardships, and historical events that should not only be brought up more in our society, but also in various classrooms around the world.

Julia, a young closeted lesbian, and Evelyn, an outgoing girl with a secret, discover a group called the Speaking Square Squad. While this story may have some light-hearted ends, it contains many important ideas on societal controversies.
