Just a Little More About ME!

Hi there! You found the hidden button! I just wanted to include a little more about me through some work I have done from various courses. I hope you enjoy :D

This I Believe

Dedicated to Lauren Banchieri

This assignment, in particular, was one of the most enjoyable to write. The idea was to tell a story based upon a belief of ours, something we valued much from our own lives. Finding that one true friendship, the kind that clearly had survived among many lifetimes and would continue to do so, is one of the strongest beliefs I have always kept close to me. Luckily, I managed to find mine early in my life, and I am forever grateful we found each other once again.

In an Instant

Though this assignment was intentionally meant to reflect and analyze a moment that changed my life, I also felt that it gave me time to process my emotions and truly look at how much I have grown from this experience. Even through all of the uncertainty and negativity, I would never want to get rid of this experience.

Mother Tongue

This essay was one of the most difficult to write and finish. While many other classmates had already chosen a topic, I was stuck trying to decide between my moms or dads side of the family to write about. Evidently, I ended up meeting with Ianthe and was able to choose a topic that best suited my family situation. Unlike many other families, mine is a whole mix of races and ethnicities.

Memoir & Multimodal Text

For my English Teaching Composition course, each of us students had to create a memoir of a moment in our life. However, we also had to create a set of multimodal texts revolving around our memoir and include it in the memoir itself. I chose to write about the days before my grandfathers death, discussing how I felt and what was happening around me.

Response to the
Hutchins Program

Responding to the Hutchins program, as a whole, was something I was a little afraid to write about. I am a Track 1 student, and I always found that Track 1 students didn't get the same amount of help or attention as the other 2 Tracks. So when it came time to write this response, I wanted to make sure to incorporate the knowledge I learned, but also discuss this issue to the best of my ability.
