WOMEN

The power that women have been able to attain in today's society has come a long way from the atrocities of the past. While there has been many positive and powerful experiences for the women's movement, there is still many misogynistic experiences and stereotypes that harm the view of women. Hopefully, when looking at the ideas I present, one might get a better sense at the problems women still face in our society.

The Hypothetical Authors, More Real than the One Taught Today

With many male authors being used as a basis for our youths education, I use this text as a source to draw upon some women who deserve to be out into the spotlight and used for producing more knowledge around the idea of female authors in history.

The Sexually Driven Ritual &

Its Modern View

This weekly comment draws upon an extremely sexually driven ritual prepared by Artemis so that young girls may prepared for their roles as mothers and wives. While some may think this is honoring the Goddess, but, in actuality, this ritual seems more misogynistic than anything.

The Humiliation of Love & Beauty

My idea for this weekly comment was to pursue "The Loves of Ares and Aphrodite" and look upon the misogynistic embarrassment the Aphrodite had faced. While I understand this text was written years-and-years ago, it's idea of worshipping the men and belittling the women was evidently overdramatized.
